Summoning
There are two ways to summon King Slime:
- Slime Crown — crafted at a Demon Altar with 1 Crown (gold/platinum) + 5 Gel. Use anywhere, anytime.
- Natural spawn — King Slime has a small chance to spawn near the outer thirds of the map when you kill slimes during the Slime Rain event.
Recommended Gear
- Armor: Any iron-level or better. Gold/Platinum is ideal.
- Weapons: A bow with Flaming Arrows, or the Enchanted Boomerang. Ranged is much easier for this fight.
- Accessories: Hermes Boots or similar (speed helps avoid the boss), Cloud in a Bottle for jumping.
- Healing: 20+ Lesser Healing Potions, max HP (100+).
Arena Setup
King Slime is simple — he teleports toward you when stuck. You don't need an elaborate arena. A flat grassy area about 30 blocks wide with a couple of platforms is enough. Place a Campfire and a Star-in-a-Bottle nearby for regen.
Strategy
The fight is straightforward:
- King Slime hops toward you, splitting into smaller slimes as he takes damage.
- Keep moving in one direction. When he gets close, jump over him.
- Use a bow or boomerang — hit him while staying out of contact range.
- When he teleports above you, immediately move sideways to avoid the landing.
- The smaller spawned slimes are a bigger threat than King Slime himself. Take them out with piercing weapons if possible.
Expert Mode Tip
In Expert Mode, King Slime spawns additional slimes more frequently and teleports aggressively. Build a platform 20 blocks above ground and fight from there — he can't reach you and the spawns are easier to handle.
Rewards
- Ninja gear — Ninja Hood, Ninja Shirt, Ninja Pants (22.2% each)
- Slime Hook — one of the weakest hooks but still useful early
- Solidifier — lets you craft Slime Blocks from Gel
- Royal Gel (Expert) — slimes become passive
- Slime Gun (Master) — vanity water gun
